Welcome to Kittiwriter’s Notebook ✒️📓
Hey there, and welcome to Kittiwriter’s Notebook! I’m Leah, your friendly neighborhood writer, who’s here to take you behind the scenes of my books, my life as a writer, and my never-ending battle with formatting (seriously, why is it always the footnotes that get me?).
The name "Kittiwriter" comes from my love of storytelling and my Caribbean roots. Growing up in St. Kitts, I heard tales that made me believe anything was possible—yes, even that one about the ghost who might have been the neighbor’s cat. Who knew ghost stories could have so much humor in them? Well, they do.
In this blog, you can expect a mix of things: some writing tips (the good, the bad, and the I’m still figuring it out), glimpses of my latest projects like Where the Guava Tree Stands, and random thoughts on the balance between writing and teaching. I’ll probably throw in a few jokes (because let’s face it, writing a novel can make you a little wild-eyed sometimes), and maybe a typo or two, but hey, we all make mistakes. I’m just here for the stories, people.
So, stick around. I’ll be posting every first Friday of the month, sharing some laughter, some lessons, and all the weird and wonderful things that happen when you mix fiction with reality. And if you want to know what’s coming up next (spoiler alert: it’s more books, more chaos, and maybe a bit of accidental drama), stay tuned.
And now, before I wrap this up, I’ll leave you with this: What’s the funniest thing that’s ever happened to you while reading or writing? Drop a comment below! Let’s get the laughter rolling.
